And [they are] those who do not testify to falsehood, and when they pass near ill speech, they pass by with dignity.

And those who say, "Our Lord, grant us from among our wives and offspring comfort to our eyes and make us a leader [i.e., example] for the righteous."

ØŖŲŲÛŲŲŲŲ°ŲØĻŲŲŲ ŲŲØŦŲØ˛ŲŲŲŲŲ ŲąŲŲØēŲØąŲŲŲØŠŲ بŲŲ ŲØ§ ØĩŲØ¨ŲØąŲŲØ§Û ŲŲŲŲŲŲŲŲŲŲŲŲŲ ŲŲŲŲŲØ§ ØĒŲØŲŲŲŲØŠŲÛ ŲŲØŗŲŲŲŲŲ°Ų ŲØ§ Ų§ŲĨ
Those will be awarded the Chamber for what they patiently endured, and they will be received therein with greetings and [words of] peace,

Abiding eternally therein. Good is the settlement and residence.

Say, "What would my Lord care for you if not for your supplication?" For you [disbelievers] have denied, so it [i.e., your denial] is going to be adherent.

More Attributes of the Servants of the Most Gracious
These are further attributes of the servants of the Most Gracious. They do not bear witness to falsehood, including lies, immorality, disbelief, foul speech and false words. `Amr bin Qays said, this refers to gatherings of sexual immorality. It was said that the Ayah,
ŲØ§Ų ŲŲØ´ŲŲŲØ¯ŲŲŲŲ Ø§ŲØ˛ŲŲŲØąŲ
(And those who do not bear witness to falsehood,) refers to giving false testimony, which means lying deliberately to someone else. It was recorded in the Two Sahihs that Abu Bakrah said, "The Messenger of Allah said three times:
ÂĢØŖŲŲŲØ§ ØŖŲŲŲØ¨ŲŲØĻŲŲŲŲ Ų Ø¨ŲØŖŲŲŲØ¨ŲØąŲ Ø§ŲŲŲŲØ¨ŲاØĻŲØąŲØÂģ
(Shall I not tell you of the greatest of major sins) We said, "Of course, O Messenger of Allah." The Messenger of Allah said:
ÂĢØ§ŲØ´ŲŲØąŲŲŲ Ø¨ŲØ§ŲŲŲŲ ŲŲØšŲŲŲŲŲŲ Ø§ŲŲŲŲØ§ŲŲØ¯ŲŲŲŲÂģ
(Associating others in worship with Allah and disobeying one's parents.) He was lying down, then he sat up and added:
ÂĢØŖŲŲŲØ§ ŲŲŲŲŲŲŲŲ Ø§ŲØ˛ŲŲŲØąŲØ ØŖŲŲŲØ§ ŲŲØ´ŲŲŲØ§Ø¯ŲØŠŲ Ø§ŲØ˛ŲŲŲØąÂģ
(Beware false speech, and bearing witness to falsehood.) and he kept repeating it until we thought, would that he would stop." From the context it seems that what is meant by those who do not bear witness to falsehood is those who do not attend it or are not present when it happens. Allah says:
ŲŲØĨŲØ°Ųا Ų ŲØąŲŲŲØ§Ų Ø¨ŲØ§ŲŲŲŲØēŲŲŲ Ų ŲØąŲŲŲØ§Ų ŲŲØąØ§Ų Ø§Ų
(and if they pass by some evil play or evil talk, they pass by it with dignity.) They do not attend where falsehood occurs, and if it so happens that they pass by it, they do not let it contaminate them in the slightest. Allah says:
Ų ŲØąŲŲŲØ§Ų ŲŲØąØ§Ų Ø§Ų
(they pass by it with dignity.)
ŲŲØ§ŲŲŲØ°ŲŲŲŲ ØĨŲØ°Ųا ذŲŲŲŲØąŲŲØ§Ų بŲŲŲØ§ŲŲŲØĒŲ ØąŲØ¨ŲŲŲŲŲ Ų ŲŲŲ Ų ŲŲØŽŲØąŲŲŲØ§Ų ØšŲŲŲŲŲŲŲØ§ ØĩŲŲ ŲØ§Ų ŲŲØšŲŲ ŲŲŲØ§ŲاŲ
(And those who, when they are reminded of the Ayat of their Lord, fall not deaf and blind thereat.) This is also a characteristic of the believers,
اŲŲŲØ°ŲŲŲŲ ØĨŲØ°Ųا ذŲŲŲØąŲ اŲŲŲŲŲŲ ŲŲØŦŲŲŲØĒŲ ŲŲŲŲŲØ¨ŲŲŲŲ Ų ŲŲØĨŲØ°Ųا ØĒŲŲŲŲŲØĒŲ ØšŲŲŲŲŲŲŲŲ Ų ØĄŲØ§ŲŲŲØĒŲŲŲ Ø˛ŲØ§Ø¯ŲØĒŲŲŲŲ Ų ØĨŲŲŲ ŲŲŲØ§Ų ŲŲØšŲŲŲŲ ØąŲØ¨ŲŲŲŲŲ Ų ŲŲØĒŲŲŲŲŲŲŲŲŲŲŲ
(Those who, when Allah is mentioned, feel a fear in their hearts and when His Ayat are recited unto them, they increase their faith; and they put their trust in their Lord.) (8:2) Unlike the disbelievers. When they hear the Words of Allah, they are not affected by them or moved to change their ways. They persist in their disbelief, wrongdoing, ignorance and misguidance, as Allah says:
ŲŲØĨŲØ°Ųا Ų ŲØĸ ØŖŲŲØ˛ŲŲŲØĒŲ ØŗŲŲØąŲØŠŲ ŲŲŲ ŲŲŲŲŲŲ Ų Ų ŲŲŲ ŲŲŲŲŲŲŲ ØŖŲŲŲŲŲŲŲ Ų Ø˛ŲØ§Ø¯ŲØĒŲŲŲ ŲŲŲØ°ŲŲŲ ØĨŲŲŲ ŲŲŲØ§Ų ŲŲØŖŲŲ ŲŲØ§ اŲŲŲØ°ŲŲŲŲ ØĄØ§Ų ŲŲŲŲØ§Ų ŲŲØ˛ŲØ§Ø¯ŲØĒŲŲŲŲ Ų ØĨŲŲŲ ŲŲŲØ§Ų ŲŲŲŲŲ Ų ŲŲØŗŲØĒŲØ¨ŲØ´ŲØąŲŲŲŲ ŲŲØŖŲŲ ŲŲØ§ اŲŲŲØ°ŲŲŲŲ ŲŲŲ ŲŲŲŲŲØ¨ŲŲŲŲ Ų ŲŲØąŲØļŲ ŲŲØ˛ŲØ§Ø¯ŲØĒŲŲŲŲ Ų ØąŲØŦŲØŗŲا ØĨŲŲŲŲ ØąŲØŦŲØŗŲŲŲŲ Ų
(And whenever there comes down a Surah, some of them say: "Which of you has had his faith increased by it" As for those who believe, it has increased their faith, and they rejoice. But as for those in whose hearts is a disease, it will add doubt to their doubt) (9:124-125).
ŲŲŲ Ų ŲŲØŽŲØąŲŲŲØ§Ų ØšŲŲŲŲŲŲŲØ§ ØĩŲŲ ŲØ§Ų ŲŲØšŲŲ ŲŲŲØ§ŲاŲ
(fall not deaf and blind thereat.) means, unlike the disbelievers who, when they hear the Ayat of Allah, are not moved by them, but continue as they are, as if they did not hear them but are deaf and blind. His saying:
ŲŲØ§ŲŲŲØ°ŲŲŲŲ ŲŲŲŲŲŲŲŲŲŲ ØąŲØ¨ŲŲŲŲØ§ ŲŲØ¨Ų ŲŲŲŲØ§ Ų ŲŲŲ ØŖŲØ˛ŲŲŲØŦŲŲŲØ§ ŲŲØ°ŲØąŲŲŲŲŲŲØĒŲŲŲØ§ ŲŲØąŲŲØŠŲ ØŖŲØšŲŲŲŲŲ
(And those who say: "Our Lord! Bestow on us from our wives and our offspring the comfort of our eyes...") means those who ask Allah to bring forth from their loins offspring who will obey Him and worship Him and not associate anything in worship with Him. Ibn `Abbas said, "This means (offspring) who will strive to obey Allah and bring them joy in this world and the Hereafter." Imam Ahmad recorded that Jubayr bin Nufayr said: "We sat with Al-Miqdad bin Al-Aswad one day, and a man passed by and said, "How blessed are these two eyes which saw the Messenger of Allah ! Would that we had seen what you saw and witnessed what you witnessed." Al-Miqdad got angry, and I was surprised, because the man had not said anything but good. Then he turned to him and said, "What makes a man wish to be present when Allah had caused him to be absent, and he does not know how he would have behaved if he had been there By Allah, there are people who saw the Messenger of Allah , and Allah will throw them on their faces in Hell because they did not accept him or believe in him. Are you not grateful that Allah brought you forth from your mothers' wombs believing in your Lord and in what your Prophet brought, and that the test went to others and not to you Allah sent His Prophet during the most difficult time that any Prophet was ever sent, after a long period of ignorance, when the people could see no better religion than the worship of idols, and he brought the Criterion which distinguishes truth from falsehood and which would separate a father from his son. A man would realize that his father, son or brother was a disbeliever, and since Allah had opened his heart to Faith, he knew that if his relative died he would go to Hell, so he could not rest knowing that his loved one was in the Fire. This is what Allah referred to in the Ayah,
ŲŲØ§ŲŲŲØ°ŲŲŲŲ ŲŲŲŲŲŲŲŲŲŲ ØąŲØ¨ŲŲŲŲØ§ ŲŲØ¨Ų ŲŲŲŲØ§ Ų ŲŲŲ ØŖŲØ˛ŲŲŲØŦŲŲŲØ§ ŲŲØ°ŲØąŲŲŲŲŲŲØĒŲŲŲØ§ ŲŲØąŲŲØŠŲ ØŖŲØšŲŲŲŲŲ
(And those who say: "Our Lord! Bestow on us from our wives and our offspring the comfort of our eyes...") Its chain of narrators is Sahih, although they did not report it.
ŲŲØ§ØŦŲØšŲŲŲŲŲØ§ ŲŲŲŲŲ ŲØĒŲŲŲŲŲŲŲ ØĨŲŲ ŲØ§Ų اŲ
(and make us leaders of those who have Taqwa.) Ibn `Abbas, Al-Hasan, As-Suddi, Qatadah and Rabi` bin Anas said: "Leaders who would be taken as examples in good." Others said: "Guides who would call others to goodness." They wanted their worship to be connected to the worship of their children and offspring, and their guidance to go beyond themselves and benefit others. This would be more rewarding and a better end, as it was recorded in Sahih Muslim from Abu Hurayrah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah said:
ÂĢØĨŲØ°Ųا Ų ŲØ§ØĒŲ Ø§Ø¨ŲŲŲ ØĸدŲŲ Ų Ø§ŲŲŲŲØˇŲØšŲ ØšŲŲ ŲŲŲŲŲ ØĨŲŲŲŲØ§Ø§ŲŲ ŲŲ ØĢŲŲŲØ§ØĢŲ: ŲŲŲŲØ¯Ų ØĩŲØ§ŲŲØŲ ŲŲØ¯ŲØšŲŲ ŲŲŲŲØ ØŖŲŲŲ ØšŲŲŲŲ Ų ŲŲŲŲØĒŲŲŲØšŲ بŲŲŲ Ų ŲŲŲ Ø¨ŲØšŲدŲŲŲØ ØŖŲŲŲ ØĩŲØ¯ŲŲŲØŠŲ ØŦŲØ§ØąŲŲŲØŠÂģ
(When a son of Adam dies, his deeds cease apart from three: a righteous child who will pray for him, knowledge from which others may benefit after him, or ongoing charity.)
The Reward of the Servants of the Most Gracious, and a Warning to the People of Makkah
After mentioning the beautiful attributes of His believing servants, and their fine words and deeds, Allah then says:
ØŖŲŲŲŲŲŲØĻŲŲŲ
(Those) meaning, the people who are described in this manner,
ŲŲØŦŲØ˛ŲŲŲŲŲ
(will be rewarded) on the Day of Resurrection,
اŲŲØēŲØąŲŲŲØŠŲ
(with the highest place), which is Paradise. Abu Ja`far Al-Baqir, Sa`id bin Jubayr, Ad-Dahhak and As-Suddi said, "It was so called because of its elevation."
بŲŲ ŲØ§ ØĩŲØ¨ŲØąŲŲØ§Ų
(because of their patience.) means, their patience in doing what they did.
ŲŲŲŲŲŲŲŲŲŲŲŲŲ ŲŲŲŲŲØ§
(Therein they shall be met) means, in Paradise.
ØĒŲØŲŲŲŲØŠŲ ŲŲØŗŲŲŲŲŲ Ø§Ų
(with greetings and the word of peace and respect.) This means that they will be greeted first with words of welcome and honor. Peace will be theirs and they will be wished peace. And angels shall enter unto them from every gate, saying, "Peace be upon you for that you persevered in patience! Excellent indeed is the final home!"
ØŽŲŲŲŲØ¯ŲŲŲŲ ŲŲŲŲŲØĸ
(Abiding therein) means, they will settle there and never leave or move or die, they will never exit or wish to move to somewhere else. This is like the Ayah,
ŲŲØŖŲŲ ŲŲØ§ اŲŲŲØ°ŲŲŲŲ ØŗŲØšŲدŲŲØ§Ų ŲŲŲŲŲ Ø§ŲŲØŦŲŲŲŲØŠŲ ØŽŲŲŲŲØ¯ŲŲŲŲ ŲŲŲŲŲØ§ Ų ŲØ§ Ø¯ŲØ§Ų ŲØĒŲ Ø§ŲØŗŲŲŲ ŲŲŲŲØĒŲ ŲŲØ§ŲاŲŲØąŲØļŲ
(And those who are blessed, they will be in Paradise, abiding therein for all the time that the heavens and the earth endure) (11:108).
ØŲØŗŲŲŲØĒŲ Ų ŲØŗŲØĒŲŲŲØąŲØ§Ų ŲŲŲ ŲŲŲØ§Ų اŲ
(excellent it is as an abode, and as a place to rest in.) Its appearance is beautiful and it is a good place in which to rest and to dwell. Then Allah says:
ŲŲŲŲ Ų ŲØ§ ŲŲØšŲØ¨ŲØ¤Ųا بŲŲŲŲ Ų ØąŲØ¨ŲŲŲ
(Say: "My Lord pays attention to you only because of your invocation to Him...") meaning, He would not care to pay attention to you if you did not worship Him, for He only created mankind to worship Him Alone and to glorify Him morning and evening. His saying:
ŲŲŲŲØ¯Ų ŲŲØ°ŲŲØ¨ŲØĒŲŲ Ų
(But now you have indeed denied. ) "O you disbelievers."
ŲŲØŗŲŲŲŲŲ ŲŲŲŲŲŲŲ ŲŲØ˛ŲØ§Ų Ø§Ų
(So the torment will be yours forever.) So your denial will remain with you forever, i.e., it will lead to your punishment, doom and destruction in this world and the Hereafter. This also refers to the day of Badr, as it was interpreted by `Abdullah bin Mas`ud, Ubayy bin Ka`b, Muhammad bin Ka`b Al-Qurazi, Mujahid, Ad-Dahhak, Qatadah, As-Suddi and others.
ŲŲØŗŲŲŲŲŲ ŲŲŲŲŲŲŲ ŲŲØ˛ŲØ§Ų Ø§Ų
(So the torment will be yours forever.) Al-Hasan Al-Basri said: "The Day of Resurrection." And there is no conflict between the two interpretations. This is the end of the Tafsir of Surat Al-Furqan, all praise and thanks are due to Allah.

Meaning: He is close to everyone because of His immense knowledge and constant observation and awareness. He is also close to those of His slaves who worship Him, invoke Him and love Him, and He gives them the assistance and support they need and answers their prayers.

And when My servants ask you, [O Muá¸Ĩammad], concerning Me - indeed I am near. I respond to the invocation of the supplicant when he calls upon Me. So let them respond to Me [by obedience] and believe in Me that they may be [rightly] guided.

Empty your heart to Al-Qareeb.
Some complain they donât feel close to Allah, there is no concentration in prayer etc. Realize He is Al-Qareeb; when youâve had a bad day, He knows what happened. When you had a good day, He knows what made you happy. So take your prayer to concentrate and empty your heart to Al-Qareeb; present to Him your worries, ask for His help, show Him your gratefulness and He will give you more. Transform every worry into a supplication! Allah says: Indeed, my Lord is near and responsive [Quran, 11:61]
Follow the call.
Al-Qareeb says: When my servants ask thee concerning Me I am indeed qareeb (close to them); I listen to the prayer of every suppliant when he calls on Me; let them also with a will listen to My call and believe in Me; that they may walk in the right way [Quran 2:186] So not only let this Name inspire you to ask Him, but also to follow His commands, prohibitions and instructions laid out in the Quran and Sunnah!
Be ashamed of your bad deeds.
Al-Qareeb uses His attribute of closeness together with His attribute of hearing: Indeed, He is Hearing and near [Quran, 34:50] Let this inspire you to mind everything you say, whether it is in public or private, at work or to relatives. Know Allah âazza wa jall is closer to you than your jugular vein, let this make you feel comforted and secure, but also be ashamed of your bad deeds, speech and actions, knowing He is so close to you!
Know the Day of Judgement is near.
Allah says: [The time of] their account has approached for the people, while they are in heedlessness turning away [Quran, 21:1] On many occasions in the Quran Al-Qareeb reminds us that the Day of Judgement is near. Act upon this knowledge by regularly bringing yourself to account, repenting and seeking Allahâs forgiveness often.
Strive to be of al-muqarraboon.
The muqarraboon have the highest place in paradise and their top consists of the prophets, the siddiqeen, the martyrs, and the righteous. Strive and ask Allah âazza wa jall to make you one of them. Ibn Katheer said about the ones close to Allah: They are those who do the obligatory acts and the recommended ones and they abstain from the prohibited acts, the disliked acts, and [even abstain] from some of the permissible ones [due to them bringing no benefit in the afterlife] [Tafseer ibn Katheer] Some of the salaf said: They are the first of people to go to the mosque and the first to go out for jihaad for the sake of Allah.
Muslims know that nothing can happen without Allah's permission and Allah knows everything that will hapÂpen in every time and place.
What does Al-Qadar mean?
Al-Qadar means fate.
This means that Allah SWT controls the fate of people and the whole universe. Everything happens with His knowledge and permission. He knows everything that happened in the past, He knows everything that happens now, and He knows everything that will happen in the future. Nothing happens in this world without His permission.
Allah is the only one who decides the following:
Al-Ajal or life span: How long we live and when we will die.Â
As-Sihhah or health: When we get sick and when we recover.Â
Ar-Rizq or wealth: how much we get.
Life Quality: Happy or with struggle.
People can choose to do what is right in this life, or choose to do what is wrong. Allah gave people the choice to do good or bad deeds. You choose to pray or not pray, to lie or tell the truth, work hard for Islam or to be lazy and do little. However, when you do good deeds you will be rewarded, and when you do bad deeds, you may be punished.
We should believe that everything that happens to us comes from Allah SWT. When something good happens to us and we like it, we should say "Alhamdulillah". If something bad happens to us, we should accept it, be patient, ask Allah SWT for help, and also say "Alhamdulillah". Sometimes bad things happen to us because we did bad things and Allah is unhappy with us. Sometimes Allah wants to make us stronger and smarter. Difficult times make people work hardÂer and learn life better. They learn what is good for them and what is bad, what is safe and what is unsafe.
Only Allah
Once, Abdullah Ibn Ibbas, the cousin of Prophet Muhammad (S), rode a camel behind the Prophet. Abdullah was very happy. He used to love the Prophet very much. The Prophet (S) asked Abdullah, "Do you like me to teach you some good words, boy." "Yes", Abdullah hapÂpily answered. So the Prophet (S) said: "Obey Allah, and He will proÂtect you. Obey Allah always so He will be there for you whenever you need Him. If you need something, ask Allah. If you seek help, seek the help of Allah. And know that even if all people gather to help you with anything, they will not be able to help you unless Allah had written it for you. And know that if they all gather to harm you, they will not be able to harm you unless Allah had writÂten that for you."
The Prophet continued:
"Obey Allah in easy times, He will help you when you have difficult times. Nothing will happen to you if Allah doesn't want it to happen. And if Allah wants something to happen to you, it will not miss you.
Know that Allah gives victory with perseverance, relief comes with hardship, and ease comes with difficulty."
Abdullah was happy to learn this great wisdom. He made sure through his whole life to do exactly what Prophet Muhammad (S) advised him to do.
